Britta
Siegel was born in Arvika, Sweden. Arvika, in the western part of Värmland,
is the second largest municipality in the province. It has 27
000 inhabitants and is located by Glafsfjorden. Trade and industry
dominates and the most well-known industry is Volvo which makes
wheel loaders in Arvika and Eskilstuna, Sweden; Asheville, USA
and Pederneiras, Brazil. 
Handicraft
has always been outstanding in the Arvika area. In Taserud, outside
Arvika, is Oppstuhage, which is the artist Christian Eriksson's
place of memorial. Outside Arvika lies Ingesund's Institute of
Music which is one of few schools of its sort in Sweden. In recent
times, the Arvika Festival (since 1992) is the biggest annual
event in the area, with several international bands visiting
the town during three days in July every summer.
Growing up, Britta was involved in a lot of different sports. She played soccer for Mallbacken, a 1st division soccer team, until 1989 when she moved to the U.S. She managed Bally Total Fitness, a large health club and became the head of St Louis Bally Total Fitness Demo Team and a Power Flex Master trainer. In 2006, Britta started her company; Be Fit For You. She is a certified personal trainer and has extensive experience in group exercise such as; boot camps, spinning etc. Britta continues to be actively involved in sports herself, especially triathlons, while raising her three children in St. Louis, Missouri. Britta just finished the Quarter Max Triathlon in Innsbrook, MO.
